Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Ypsilanti, MI to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train Store Associates.

Role requires strong communication and customer service skills, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a proactive, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Handle payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, receipts, and loss prevention tasks.
• Maintain neat, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets including store cash and security.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety guidelines, and store procedures.
