Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Wexford, PA location. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise flows smoothly from delivery to sales floor.

The role requires strong communication, team leadership, and a customer-focused approach, with responsibility for supervising associates, maintaining safety and policies, and upholding a clean, organized store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform routine physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record keeping.
• Maintain neat, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom per standards.
• Protect store assets and cash.
• Ensure policies, safety guidelines, and procedures are followed.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
