Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Summerville, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise flow, and help train Store Associates.

The role involves opening/closing duties, loss prevention, and ensuring a clean, safe, and presentable store. A high school diploma is preferred, with prior retail leadership experience valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas and ensure promotional fixtures are effective.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Protect store assets and ensure policy compliance.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates while maintaining a safe environment.
