Job summary

Dollar Tree in Middletown, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, foster excellent customer service, and develop store associates. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, loss prevention, and ensuring store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Maintain cleanliness of store including bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Perform other duties as assigned
