Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Lumberton, NC. You will assist with daily store functions and help lead associates.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise, opening/closing procedures, adherence to policies, loss prevention, and ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform typical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping including payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain organized sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness, restock bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, take out trash, and keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
