Job summary

Dollar Tree in Cubero, New Mexico is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will assist with day-to-day functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure the store presents well to shoppers.

You will work with the Store Manager to supervise and train associates, enforce policies, protect assets, and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked store areas and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned*.
