Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in Blue Springs, MO. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and supervise associates under the Store Manager.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and adherence to safety and store policies. You will participate in opening/closing procedures and help manage promotions and displays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store displays and promotional materials.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handle damaged goods, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and ensure security.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed and safety guidelines observed.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
