Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Liberty Township, Ohio. You will help manage day-to-day activities, assist customers, and ensure the sales floor and stockroom meet company standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, training of Store Associates, adherence to safety guidelines, and maintaining a positive, welcoming environment for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom and sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain areas of the store and ensure stockroom is organized to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Protect and secure store assets, including store cash.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
