Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Aurora, Nebraska to help run daily store operations and develop the team. You will assist with merchandising, customer service, and loss prevention while supporting the Store Manager in training and supervising associates.

The role requires strong communication, endurance for physical tasks, and a dedication to maintaining a clean, safe shopping environment. This position emphasizes teamwork and excellent service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash
