Job summary

Curaleaf is seeking a New Store Opening Assistant Store Manager in Meriden, CT to help develop, lead, and motivate a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience while achieving financial targets. You will act as Manager on Duty, educate guests on our products, supervise cash handling, scheduling, and inventory, and travel 10-25% for training.

The role requires 1 year retail supervisory experience, English fluency, and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail and/or customer service in a high-paced selling environment.
• Minimum 1 year of retail supervisory experience.
• Strong business acumen and KPI-driven performance knowledge.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Experience in a heavily regulated industry.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage teams.
• Strong revenue-driving salesmanship.
• Experience with cash handling and POS operations.
• Desire for continuous learning and ability to share information.

Responsibilities

• Proactively communicate with Store Manager and District Manager to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Lead selling behaviors aligned with brand culture to build loyalty and hit financial targets.
• Monitor and coach customer service performance of team members.
• Share best practices to deliver a distinctive guest experience.
• Supervise store operations, shifts, delegation, and scheduling.
• Oversee cash handling, deposits, and ledger accuracy.
• Analyze inventory trends and manage stock to avoid outs and overstock.
• Maintain knowledge of all computer and POS systems.
• Comply with company policies and maintain respectful relationships.
• Travel to other locations for training as needed (10-25% travel).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
