Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our NAPA retail store in Jacksonville, FL. You will lead with customer care, oversee daily operations and actively sell across channels while supporting the Store Manager.

This role develops toward Store Manager, may require overtime and keyholder duties opening/closing the store, and involves coaching the team to maintain standards and continuity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in automotive after-market or willingness to learn.
• Leadership experience.
• Strong customer care and relationship building.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory systems.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Experience in parts store or retail management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor alignment.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across channels (in-store, phone, dealer).
• Model expected behaviors, processes and customer standards.
• Execute or oversee opening and closing routines including cash reconciliation.
• Handle or support scheduling, compliance, and performance tracking.
• Monitor store metrics and problem-solve for improvements.
• Provide leadership, coaching and succession development.
• Drive safety, asset protection and continuous improvement initiatives.
