General Function / Summary:

Our Assistant Store Managers are a front-line brand ambassador representing Check N Go, Allied Cash Advance, or Cash Store, all part of the CNG Holdings, Inc., family of companies. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Duties

Essential Duties:

  • Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio by presenting all options for products and/or services that meet their needs.
  • Escalate issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations (DDO), and corporate office if unable to resolve directly with the customer.
  • Answer inquiries via telephone regarding questions, applications, requests, or other issues.
  • Perform outbound sales, courtesy, and collection calls following federal regulations, store procedures, and regional expectations.
  • Respond professionally to customers, explaining solutions and ensuring they feel valued.
  • Handle cash, manage a cash drawer, and perform cash deposits; may include bank deposits or pickups.
  • Balance daily receipts with sales reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Verify customer information during transactions.
  • Process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend, following company policies.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations, company policies, and complete required trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education And Experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in sales, customer service, or cash handling preferred.
  • Strong customer service, active listening, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
  • Reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Willingness to live and embrace core values of accountability, inclusiveness, transparency, and focus.
Physical Demands
  • Work in call center, retail, or office environment.
  • Handle cash extensively.
  • Extended use of phone and computer screens.
  • Long periods of standing.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.
Travel / Attendance
  • Travel to stores within the district using personal vehicle.
  • Potential travel to neighboring districts and overnight stays.
  • Work scheduled shifts as assigned.
