About The Role
As an Operations Manager or Merchandising Manager, you will oversee store operations and/or merchandising, delivering excellent customer service. You will teach, coach, and develop associates to execute operational, service, and merchandising processes focused on consistent execution and efficiency. You will be accountable for the overall results and success of key performance measures, with a primary goal of driving sales and profitability.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure sound operational processes, including receiving and processing product, stockroom management, and omni-channel fulfillment.
- Drive accuracy through completion of all required business directives such as merchandise disposition practices.
- Maintain appropriate levels of product on the sales floor by planning and directing floor replenishment based on sell-through and seasonal changes.
- Lead efforts at the point of sale and customer service departments to deliver speed of service transactions while creating a compelling customer experience.
- Ensure store merchandising standards follow visual merchandising direction, making decisions about and adaptations to merchandising based on layout, adjacencies, and store needs; display products clearly, understandably, and compellingly.
- Lead execution of pricing activities, ensuring accurate and efficient price changes, sign updates, and ticketing procedures.
- Support loss prevention by educating associates, monitoring store activity, maintaining product protection standards, and partnering with Loss Prevention.
- Manage training processes for new hires, ensuring skill development in processes, inventory procedures, productivity, merchandising, product knowledge, and use of Kohl’s resources.

Required Skills
- Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail, preferably in a managerial role.
- College degree or equivalent education and 2 years of retail or similar industry experience.
