As an Operations Manager or Merchandising Manager, you will oversee store operations and/or merchandising, ensuring excellent customer service. Your role involves coaching and developing associates to execute operational, service, and merchandising processes with consistency and efficiency. You will be responsible for the overall results and success of key performance measures, primarily focused on driving sales and profitability.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure sound operational processes, including receiving and processing product, stockroom management, and omni-channel fulfillment.
- Drive accuracy through completion of business directives such as merchandise disposition practices.
- Maintain appropriate product levels on the sales floor by planning and directing replenishment based on sell-through and seasonal changes.
- Lead efforts at point of sale and customer service departments to deliver quick transactions and a compelling customer experience.
- Ensure store merchandising standards follow visual direction, making decisions and adaptations based on layout and store needs to present products clearly and attractively.
- Direct, teach, and train associates to execute merchandising standards timely and accurately.
- Lead pricing activities, ensuring accuracy in price changes, signage, and ticketing.
- Support loss prevention by educating staff, monitoring store activity, maintaining protection standards, and partnering with Loss Prevention.
- Manage training for new hires on processes, inventory procedures, merchandising, and tools.
- Manage with integrity, foster teamwork, and create an inclusive culture.
- Exercise judgment in decision-making, involving partners as needed.
- Model and enforce standards, provide guidance, and develop customer service skills among staff.
- Maintain operational standards, including proper pricing and signage, and monitor KPIs to inform business decisions.
- Manage talent through hiring, training, and supervision.
- Ensure safety policies are followed to protect staff and customers.
- Perform other assigned responsibilities.
