The Opportunity:

BYREDO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who, in partnership with the Store Manager, is responsible for promoting brand engagement and loyalty to customers, top clients and VIPs, in order to guarantee store business goals. The Assistant Store Manager will collaborate with the Store Manager on all aspects of running the store, assuming the Store Manager duties in their absence. They represent the company and is a proactive sales professional who guarantee compliance with all procedures set by Headquarters and aimed at managing store staff and ensuring that the store runs efficiently.

What you’ll get to do:

Cultivate High-Value Client Relationships:

  • Build a network of people who have an impact on local and international luxury businesses to promote customer loyalty (especially with VIC/VIP).
  • Oversee the clienteling approach using digital tools to drive loyalty and repeat business
  • Support the Store Manager in event coordination which is essential in creating a local network to facilitate monthly events in the market in store.

Oversee Daily Store Operations:

  • Ensure seamless stock control, inventory management, point-of-sale transactions, and process deliveries in partnership with store manager.
  • Prepare concise daily, weekly, and monthly performance and operations reports.

Drive Sales:

  • Lead and support floor activity to achieve sales targets, margin objectives, and overall P&L goals
  • Design and execute VIP-focused action plans and store promotions
  • Analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and annual KPIs in partnership with the Store Manager.

Support and Develop People:

  • Partner with the Store Manager on recruiting, onboarding, and training new hires
  • Monitor and assist the Store Manager with the training and development for store associates.
  • Monitor and assist with ongoing employee training and individual development plans
  • Implement retention strategies to reduce turnover
  • Lead by example and ensure all store associates are abiding by company policies and procedures.

We'd love to meet you if you have:

  • 2-3 years in a supervisory or management experience in retail sales
  • Experience with makeup and/or beauty selling
  • Operational and sales expertise from a previous retail environment.
  • Flexible availability, including holidays and peak season
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Foreign language skills a plus.
  • Product sensitivity and deep knowledge of market/fashion trends
  • Adaptable, curious, and authentic, with a collaborative mindset and a solutions-oriented approach
  • A friendly, service-first approach and strong clienteling skills
  • Comfort multitasking and performing under pressure
  • Fluency with digital clienteling tools

Compensation:

As required by the New York state salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position is between $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 salary. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
