Job summary

Staples is seeking an Assistant Manager in Williamsburg, VA to drive sales, service and customer engagement in-store and ensure readiness for business. You will lead a team to build customer relationships, deliver total solutions, and promote a positive, inclusive, collaborative store culture.

Essential Skills And Experience

• 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services industry
• Experience managing and coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment
• Must be able to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs
• Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptive to changing business prioritiesReview results against business goals and strategies and deliver plans for growth and improvement
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10 - 50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously
