As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily operations, including maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers positively, answering questions and resolving concerns.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide excellent customer service.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on Family Dollar practices.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Support in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and up to 55 lbs occasionally, with capacity for walking, standing, and other physical activities.
• Flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, potential development, results orientation, organization, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
