The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations with a customer-first focus, ensuring a clean, organized environment. Under the Store Manager’s guidance, they supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, handle paperwork, and assist with cash handling and deposits.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service by greeting, assisting customers, and operating cash registers.
• Assist with employee scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, rotating, and display setup following planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, and facility controls.
• Support financial integrity through cashier accountability, cash control, and deposit procedures.
• Assist in store management during the Store Manager’s absence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read manuals, interpret diagrams, and perform mathematical calculations.
• Experience with cash register functions, cash handling, and security policies.
• Preferred high school diploma and retail supervisory experience.
