Job description

Jiffy Lube Assistant Managers are certified and proficient in all areas of store operations, sales, and service, and are responsible for developing guest relationships.

In addition, the Assistant Manager sets an example as a leader, focusing on the career development of teammates, and provides consistent guidance and direction to ensure that all policies, procedures, and services are performed to Jiffy Lube's highest standards.

These are our resident experts who ensure quality workmanship to get our guests back on the road. This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. Every J-Team member receives comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University, our award-winning training program. We even offer Ace Accreditation of up to 32 college credits for completion and certification of Jiffy Lube University courses.

Physical Qualifications
  • Must be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor-mounted oil and grease guns, transmission machines, air conditioner service machines, radiator service machines, hand tools, and basic shop equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed.
Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Provide Jiffy Lube Guests with exceptional and world-class customer service.
  • Build relationships with Jiffy Lube Guests by developing trust and rapport.
  • Provide store-level leadership to teammates through coaching, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Assist Technicians performing Jiffy Lube's Signature Service oil changes, routine preventative maintenance, and service of filters, fluids, wipers, tire rotations, and other minor services.
  • Manage store inventory, product ordering, and receiving.
  • Oversee store operations to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Ensure the store is open and closed as per Jiffy Lube guidelines.
  • Perform building and shop maintenance to improve appearance and curb appeal.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience is required, with at least 1+ years working for a dealership, automotive shop, tire center, or quick lube. We seek individuals who can provide exceptional leadership and inspire a high-performance team.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
