General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting customers positively, answering questions, and resolving inquiries.
• Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and providing excellent customer service.
• Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assisting in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring stock from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Supporting in ordering merchandise, record-keeping, and loss prevention.
• Taking on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 55 lbs., and to perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible full-time availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
