Job summary

Jiffy Lube in the United States is seeking an Assistant Manager certified in store operations, sales, and service, responsible for developing guest relationships and leading a team to meet Jiffy Lube’s high standards.

As a resident expert, you will guide colleagues through coaching, training, scheduling, and performance management, while ensuring quality workmanship and excellent customer service for every guest.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in automotive dealership or quick lube.
• Valid California driver's license required.
• Must pass background check.
• Ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writing.

Jiffy Lube Assistant Managers are certified and proficient in all areas of store operations, sales, and service and are responsible for developing guest relationships.

Assistant Manager sets an example as a leader, focusing on the career development of teammates, and provides consistent guidance and direction ensuring that all policies, procedures, and services are performed to Jiffy Lube’s highest standards.

Physical Qualifications:

• Must be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor-mounted oil and grease guns, transmission machines, air conditioner service machines, radiator service machines, hand tools, and basic shop equipment
• Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed

Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:

• Provide Jiffy Lube Guests with exceptional and world-class customer service
• Building relationships with Jiffy Lube Guests’ by developing trust and rapport
• Provide store-level leadership to teammates through coaching, training, scheduling, and performance management
• Assist Techs performing Jiffy Lubes’ Signature Service oil, routine preventative maintenance, and service filters, fluids, wipers, tire rotations, and other minor services
• Managing store inventory, product ordering, and receiving
• Oversee store operations to ensure compliance and quality standards
• Ensure the store is open and closed as per Jiffy Lube guidelines
• Perform building and shop maintenance to improve appearance and curb appeal

Qualifications:

• Previous experience is required and MUST have 1+ years working for a dealership, automotive shop, tire center, or quick lube. Simply put, we're looking for people who can provide exceptional leadership and the ability to inspire a high-performance team.
• Valid State of California driver's license required.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must possess the ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
