Job Summary

Assist the Store Manager and Manager In Training with recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel to meet sales goals, control expenses, and protect assets.

Essential Job Functions

• Meet and exceed sales goals and performance standards.
• Assist in recruiting and training high-caliber staff.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and enforce policies.
• Implement company initiatives effectively.
• Recognize and develop talented staff for growth.
• Manage daily store operations in the absence of the Store Manager or MIT.
• Supervise loss prevention practices.
• Communicate store needs effectively.
• Resolve customer issues and provide a fun, full-service experience.
• Complete bank deposits.
• Demonstrate and promote the Journeys culture.

Job Requirements

• Prior retail management experience preferred.
• 6–12 months retail sales experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Desire to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to learn and complete necessary training.
• Ability to work 45 hours/week, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
