Overview

Big O Tire Assistant Store Managers supervise store operations and perform customer service duties accurately and promptly, following all company policies and procedures. They ensure proper customer education and follow-up on maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

  1. Build effective relationships with customers and staff, motivating employees to deliver positive experiences.
  2. Ensure timely opening and closing of the store based on hours.
  3. Handle all store operations including customer service, sales, shop management, and office tasks.
  4. Promote sales by explaining benefits of services and products.
  5. Perform vehicle inspections, review work orders for accuracy, and promote necessary services.
  6. Manage store in the absence of the manager.
  7. Assist in training staff and implementing company policies.
  8. Resolve customer issues effectively.
  9. Set and achieve sales, profit, expense, and payroll goals in coordination with the Store Manager.
  10. Assist with financial tasks such as reviewing profit and loss statements, managing accounts receivable, and overseeing cash handling.
  11. Monitor employee productivity and assist with inventory management.
  12. Complete reports and participate in weekly store meetings.
  13. Manage ticket averages and profitability.
  14. Maintain facilities and equipment according to standards.
  15. Complete required training timely.
  16. Follow work schedules and clocking procedures accurately.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to company policies.

Job Requirements

  1. Be 18 years or older.
  2. Obtain Motor Vehicle Inspection license within one year.
  3. Previous retail or automotive sales/service experience.
  4. Ability to learn technical materials and perform basic math.
  5. Operate computers and office machinery.
  6. Work with hazardous materials and outdoor weather conditions.
  7. Safely operate vehicles with automatic/manual transmissions.
  8. Follow PPE regulations.
  9. Good vision, hearing, speech, and olfactory senses.
  10. Available to work holidays, weekends, and after hours.
  11. Lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  12. Communicate effectively in English.
  13. Meet company pre-employment requirements and legal work authorization.

Preferred Skills

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Two+ years in retail or sales.
  3. Valid driver’s license.
  4. Ability to work independently and in teams, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
  5. Attention to detail and accuracy.
