Position: Assistant Store Manager

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greets and assists customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintains a presence in the store to ensure excellent customer service.
• Ensures the store is clean and well-stocked.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assists with unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from the stockroom.
• Helps in ordering merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supports loss prevention efforts.
• Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, and climbing.
• Availability for flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, potential development, results orientation, organizational and communication skills, problem-solving, and relationship management.
