Salary: Up to £38k – 4 day week

Our client a leading independent Travel Management company with Worldwide offices are looking for a Business Travel Consultant to work evenings from home to service clients to the profit of the Company by always providing excellent customer service, building relationships and ensuring the efficient processing of all bookings and queries received.

Business Travel Consultant main tasks & responsibilities;

  • Ensure that all business travel bookings are dealt with accurately and efficiently.
  • Booking flights to worldwide destinations using Sabre. This may involve the booking of nett fares and planning complex itineraries.
  • Booking hotels and overland transport (rail, car hire).
  • Providing advice on visa requirements and arranging visas as appropriate.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for all client queries handled until successfully concluded.
  • Ensure that all fare rules, regulations and conditions are given correctly with a full explanation.
  • Ensure that valid alternatives are offered to all clients.
  • Respond to and perform re-issues and recalculations in accordance with clients changing needs.
  • Ensure that full support is given to the key preferred suppliers.
  • Ensure that agreed service levels are maintained and any problems are reported to your line manager in a timely fashion.

Business Travel Consultant Skills & Experience required;

  • Extensive Business Travel Experience
  • Working knowledge of Sabre, Amadeus or Galileo
  • Worldwide destination knowledge
  • First class Customer Service
