Position Overview

Assistant Store Managers are responsible for providing leadership to ensure the store delivers outstanding customer service, meets all operating objectives and financial goals, and follows company policies and procedures. The Assistant Manager performs all the duties of a Customer Service Representative and assists the Store Manager in the store's day-to-day operations. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for directing the activities of all team members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintaining exemplary customer service within the store and building relationships to encourage repeat business
  • Establishing a strong customer service culture within the store
  • Assisting the Store Manager in implementing strategies to meet store goals
  • Recruiting, developing, and motivating team members to exceed customer expectations
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Performing CSR duties and supervising CSR activities in the absence of the Store Manager, including transaction processing, cash drawer maintenance, and cash handling
  • Analyzing financial statements and trends to maximize sales
  • Marketing within the community to increase market share and revenues
  • Resolving customer complaints to increase satisfaction
  • Assisting with managing schedules, cash, and store audits
  • Reviewing all communications and training materials to ensure understanding of policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • At least one year of management experience in hospitality, financial services, retail, or restaurant industries
  • Ability and confidence to engage with customers and develop positive relationships
  • Strong desire to exceed company initiatives and inspire team excellence
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High-energy, collaborative management style
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Honesty and integrity
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Fluency in English; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Lift up to 15 lbs. with minimal assistance
  • Work in restricted spaces and maintain focus in a busy, noisy environment
  • Handle multiple tasks and interruptions effectively
