Primary Purpose

Support store operations to meet financial and sales goals, build associate and customer relations, and promote a strong store culture. Ensure safety, security, and food safety standards are maintained at the highest levels.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
• Provide leadership and motivation to foster a positive store environment.
• Ensure excellent customer service and proper control of store funds and assets.
• Maintain safety, security, and food safety standards.
• Utilize company tools like financial reports, inventory systems, scheduling, and business information systems.
• Support achievement of financial and operational targets.
• Serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist with daily store operations and lead by example in customer service.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and safety standards.
• Manage staffing schedules and ensure staff understand expectations and are well-trained.
• Complete required training courses and maintain confidentiality of store information.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a Department Manager or similar role required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, solve problems, and lead teams.
• Must meet physical requirements, including ability to lift weights and work in various temperatures.
• Must be certified as a Food Safety Manager or obtain certification within 90 days of employment.

Physical Requirements

• Proficiency with computers and communication systems.
• Ability to stand, walk, push/pull, bend, lift, and handle substances as described.
• Meet volume activity standards and tolerate working in extreme temperatures.
