General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting customers positively, answering questions, and resolving inquiries.
• Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and providing excellent customer service.
• Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates on operating practices and procedures.
• Assisting in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Supporting in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supporting loss prevention efforts.
• Assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Following all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Availability for flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills in customer focus, developing potential, results-driven approach, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
