Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Manager with strong leadership and communication skills to guide their team towards achieving sales and KPI targets while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Store Manager in running store operations to meet or exceed sales & KPI targets, setting goals, and tracking performance.
• Creating a positive team culture through recruiting, training, and developing staff.
• Analyzing sales data and financial reports to make informed decisions.
• Acting as the point of contact in the manager's absence.
• Providing excellent customer service and resolving complaints.
• Managing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Supporting cash management and reconciliation tasks.
• Participating in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
• Providing feedback and coaching to colleagues.
• Supporting colleague scheduling for optimal coverage and productivity.

Role Objectives and KPIs

• Achieving or exceeding monthly sales targets.
• Driving KPIs such as Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT.
• Meeting upselling and cross-selling targets.
• Maintaining a high Net Promoter Score.
• Ensuring stock accuracy during audits.
• Completing mandatory training for new colleagues.
• Achieving employee satisfaction and engagement benchmarks.
• Managing operational costs within budget.

Skills and Experience

• Previous supervisory or management experience in retail or a customer-facing environment.
• Passion for retail and awareness of current trends and competitors.
• Experience in coaching and developing staff.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proven ability to meet sales and KPI targets.
• Experience analyzing KPI data for commercial decision-making.
• Attention to detail and commercial awareness; visual merchandising experience is a plus.
