Starting hourly range: $20

POSITION PURPOSE
The individual in this position is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in achieving or exceeding the store's sales plan, ensuring profitable store operations, and performing all functions necessary to provide superior customer service. This includes managing resources such as store personnel, merchandise, cash, budget, and facilities. The Assistant Store Manager assumes supervisory responsibilities in the Manager's absence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Sales

• Partner with the Store Manager to ensure the store meets or exceeds weekly, monthly, and annual sales budgets, contributing to overall company success.
• Model Lindt standards and core competencies through daily activities, including leadership, commitment, passion, sales focus, and results orientation.
• Understand and communicate the store's sales mission effectively to staff.
• Quantify and articulate store performance metrics.
• Motivate staff, foster brand commitment, and hold team members accountable to meet internal KPIs and external sales opportunities.
• Identify and capitalize on external sales opportunities, such as B2B contacts, networking events, and marketing initiatives.
• Manage inventory proactively based on store trends to align stock levels with sales demands, minimizing stockouts, overstocks, and product expiration.

Staff Development

• Assist the Store Manager with recruiting, managing, and developing staff according to Lindt & Sprüngli standards to ensure a knowledgeable and friendly team.
• Support staff training to uphold company standards, ensuring daily operational and sales goals are met.
• Develop staff sales techniques and ensure consistent product knowledge and brand representation.
• Escalate issues promptly to the Store Manager and District Manager.

Operational Controls

• Ensure compliance with operational standards related to inventory, cash management, audits, payroll, scheduling, and expenses.
• Maintain adherence to quality assurance policies and procedures.
