Job Overview

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting in the daily operation of the store. Your duties include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork, under the supervision of the Store Manager.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a positive manner, answering questions and resolving concerns.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store environment.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operating procedures.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Support in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention initiatives.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs.
• Flexibility to work full-time, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
