The role involves managing merchandise through receiving, stocking, restocking, rotating, and implementing planograms. They support maintaining accurate inventory levels and controlling damages and markdowns.

They assist in ensuring financial integrity by handling cashier accountability, cash control procedures, and deposit management. The Assistant Store Manager also steps in to manage store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
