Description

Job Description: The primary role of the Assistant Manager/Manager in Training is to develop and demonstrate the skills necessary to successfully oversee the operation of a Maplefields Store in the absence of a manager. This individual also assists the Store Manager with day-to-day activities, staff development, and training, ensuring company standards are met at all times.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training staff to provide exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate store operations, monitor cash handling, complete financial paperwork, and provide shift coverage as needed.
• Create a positive work environment, motivate, encourage, and train staff.
• Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Maintain attractive and correctly priced merchandise displays, communicate price changes, and understand promotions.
• Follow environmental procedures, ensure safety and security, and report incidents following company protocols.
