Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization and problem-solving.
• Ability to coach, develop and hold leaders accountable.
• Ability to understand store performance and identify opportunities.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company systems.
• Dependable with reliable transportation.
• Able to work a flexible schedule and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate required store equipment after training.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Team Leader in day-to-day store operations.
• Provide leadership to Department Managers, Shift Supervisors, and team members.
• Coach and develop store leaders and team members while reinforcing accountability and performance expectations.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and maintaining staffing.
• Help create a positive work environment that promotes engagement, accountability, development, and retention.
• Review store performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity, neighbor engagement, and operational execution.
• Ensure standards for merchandising, inventory, animal care, cleanliness, safety, security, and store conditions are consistently maintained.
• Ensure consistent execution of daily stocking, promotions, and other operational priorities.
• Resolve escalated neighbor, team member, and operational concerns.
• Support local marketing, community involvement, and store events.
• Assume responsibility for overall store operations in the Store Team Leader's absence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
