Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Lima, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and help transfer stock from delivery to the sales floor.

You’ll participate in opening and closing procedures, supervise and train associates, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment is beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team-driven environment.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and assist with payroll, scheduling, and cash handling when needed.
• Maintain areas of the store, ensuring cleanliness, organization, safety, and loss prevention.
• Support the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
