Client & Service Expert:
  1. Clientele development through coaching team on proactive client outreach, and building and maintaining relationships with new clients.
  2. Partner with SL to develop business driving initiatives that build a repeat business or attract a new customer to the store.
  3. Ensure each associate is actively utilizing their client book in order to generate increased sales through monthly client book reviews and evaluation of their outreach.
  4. Ensure team is compliant with all clientele standards and thank you note program.
  5. Ensure all associates complete the sales training program.
  6. Model and supervise the selling environment, provide consistent coaching on sales training process in order to ensure the highest level of customer service and sales.
Leadership Presence/Steward of Talent:
  1. Assist SL with the achievement of financial success through improvement of measurable results that positively impact the store performance.
  2. Responsible for assuming the SL role in manager’s absence.
  3. Lead by example with the achievement of personal sales goals.
  4. Educate team on sales plans, personal goals, measurable stats, and coach to these stats to maximize business.
  5. Ability to network in the community to fill open positions efficiently with minimal business impact.
  6. Conduct ongoing review and assessment of employee performance.
Building Brand Equity:
  1. Understand and communicate the kate spade new york brand aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to the sales team and customers.
  2. Ensure brand and operating standards are met to support brand consistency.
  3. Ensure visual merchandising directives are implemented and store presentation standards are maintained.
  4. Communicate merchandise sell-through, stock position, business trends, product issues, and customer feedback to SL to increase customer service and sales.
Operational Excellence:
  1. Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures, including counting register funds, completing bank deposits, opening and closing registers, and securing the facility.
  2. Assist SL with managing payroll budget through scheduling and adjustments.
  3. Monitor, maintain, and follow company policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention.
  4. Manage processing of POS transactions to maintain inventory integrity.

The accomplished individual will possess:

  • Minimum 3 years management experience in a comparable retail environment
  • College degree preferred
  • Prior luxury goods experience preferred
  • Professional sales development and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership qualities and effective communication skills
  • Ability to analyze reports, identify trends, and react quickly
  • Comfortable making decisions and mediating conflicts
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
Physical Requirements:
  • Available to work store schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Lift boxes up to 40 pounds
  • Climb ladders
