Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks of frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Welcome customers and address questions with a positive attitude.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and update store activities accordingly.
• Maintain promotional displays and store cleanliness.
• Assist in order processing, damaged merchandise handling, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Protect store assets and ensure security of cash.
• Train and develop Store Associates under supervision of Store Manager.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms and floors clean and presentable, restocking as needed.
