Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. Duties include assisting with daily activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise from delivery to sales floor, and supporting the Store Manager in training associates.

The role requires strong communication, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and experience in retail management. A part-time schedule with on-site work, and opportunities to contribute to promotional displays

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform rotations of walking, standing, bending.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain front displays; ensure promotional efficiency of fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling/cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure store assets.
• Ensure adherence to policies and safety guidelines.
• Support Store Manager in coaching and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
• Keep bathrooms and store areas neat and presentable; manage waste.
• Other duties as assigned.
