Albertsons Companies in Trophy Club, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Director to support the Store Director in overseeing all store operations, drive sales, ensure operational excellence, and develop associates and department leaders.

You will lead with accountability, mentoring department managers, coordinating across teams, and ensuring customer service standards are met while maintaining store appearance and compliance during evenings, weekends, and critical periods.

Position Purpose

The Assistant Store Director supports the Store Director in overseeing all store operations, driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence, and developing associates and department leaders. This role serves as a key member of store leadership and acts on behalf of the Store Director in their absence to ensure business objectives, customer service standards, and company expectations are achieved.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development

• Support the Store Director in leading all store departments and associates.
• Coach, mentor, and develop department managers and hourly associates.
• Promote a culture of accountability, respect, engagement, and teamwork.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and talent development.
• Conduct performance discussions and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
• Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.

Sales & Financial Performance

• Assist in driving store sales and achieving financial performance goals.
• Monitor key business metrics including sales, labor, shrink, productivity, and expenses.
• Partner with department leaders to identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Execute merchandising and promotional programs to maximize sales results.
• Support action planning to address business opportunities and operational challenges.

Customer Experience

• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ensure customer concerns are resolved promptly and professionally.
• Maintain high standards of store appearance, cleanliness, and product presentation.
• Foster a customer-focused culture throughout all areas of the store.

Operations Management

• Oversee daily store operations and ensure effective execution of company programs.
• Ensure departments maintain merchandising, pricing, inventory, and replenishment standards.
• Monitor product quality, food safety, sanitation, and operational compliance.
• Coordinate activities across departments to support overall store success.
• Provide leadership coverage during evenings, weekends, and other business-critical periods.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support workplace safety initiatives and accident prevention programs.
• Monitor adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with audit readiness and corrective action planning.
• Promote a safe environment for associates and customers.

Community & Store Support

• Represent the store in community and company initiatives as needed.
• Support recruiting events, hiring efforts, and associate engagement activities.
• Build strong working relationships with customers, associates, vendors, and business partners.
