Job summary

Naples Beach Club, a Four Seasons Resort, seeks a Stewarding Assistant Manager to lead daily Stewarding operations, uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and safety, and support the Executive Steward.

You will supervise supervisors and stewards, assist with recruiting, training, scheduling, and cost control while coordinating with Culinary and F&B leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience as a Stewarding Supervisor or similar Food & Beverage leadership role is required.
• Prior luxury hospitality or resort experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Stewarding Department.
• Supervise Stewarding Supervisors and Stewards according to standards.
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach and develop Stewarding staff.
• Create staffing schedules to ensure coverage for operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchens and back-of-house areas.
• Monitor sanitation of chinaware, glassware, silverware, and equipment.
• Assist with inventory and cost-control initiatives.
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning chemicals and PPE.
• Coordinate with Culinary and F&B leadership for events.

About The Role

The Stewarding Assistant Manager supports the Executive Steward in leading the day‑to‑day operations of the Stewarding Department. This role assists in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, organization, equipment care, and team performance throughout all kitchen and back‑of‑house areas. The Stewarding Assistant Manager provides operational leadership, training, scheduling support, and quality control while ensuring compliance with Four Seasons standards and health and safety regulations.

Essential Functions

What you will do:

• Support the Executive Steward in overseeing the daily operations of the Stewarding Department.
• Supervise Stewarding Supervisors and Stewards, ensuring all team members perform duties according to departmental standards.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, evaluating, and developing Stewarding employees.
• Prepare and manage daily staffing assignments and schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for operational needs.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all kitchens, storage areas, employee dining room, dish rooms, waste handling areas, compactor rooms, and Stewarding workspaces.
• Monitor the cleaning and sanitizing of china, glassware, silverware, kitchen equipment, pots, pans, and utensils to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory management of china, glassware, silverware, chemicals, cleaning supplies, and operating equipment.
• Monitor department labor productivity and operational expenses while supporting cost control initiatives.
• Ensure proper use, care, security, preventive maintenance, and repair of Stewarding equipment and machinery.
• Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and back‑of‑house areas and follow up on corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, including proper handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
• Coordinate with Culinary, Restaurants, Banquets, and Food & Beverage leadership teams to support operational and event requirements.
• Assist in planning and executing banquet, restaurant, and special event stewarding support.
• Prepare operational reports and communicate departmental updates to the Executive Steward.
• Serve as Manager on Duty for the department in the absence of the Executive Steward.
• Promote a positive work environment and ensure Four Seasons cultural and service standards are consistently upheld.
• Comply with Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co‑workers, managers, and supervisors.

Non-essential Functions

• Assist with deep‑cleaning projects and special sanitation initiatives.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training programs, and cross‑functional projects.
• Support outlet and banquet operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the resort.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience as a Stewarding Supervisor or similar Food & Beverage leadership role required.
• Prior luxury hospitality or resort experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of dishwashing systems, kitchen cleaning equipment, floor care machinery, and sanitation practices.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and motivate employees.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to use scheduling, inventory, and reporting systems.
• Working knowledge of departmental operations, Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual skills preferred.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
