Job summary

The Spa at The Mark Hotel, in partnership with Augustinus Bader, invites an Assistant Spa Manager & Receptionist to join a landmark luxury spa in New York. You will blend hands-on front-desk service with day-to-day operations and act as a trusted partner to the Spa Manager.

A successful candidate is highly organized, polished, and able to balance guest-facing duties with team support, training new reception staff, and maintaining top-standard guest experiences in a fast-paced, upscale setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in spa/hospitality or luxury client-service.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day spa operations and staff coordination.
• Welcome guests with a warm, professional arrival and departure experience.
• Manage appointments, reservations, cancellations, payments, and front-desk tasks.
• Maintain knowledge of spa services, products, policies, and promotions.
• Support opening and closing procedures and uphold high standards.
• Assist with staff scheduling and coverage as needed.
• Monitor appointment flow and address scheduling issues.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of front-of-house supplies.
• Participate in training and onboarding of reception staff.
• Ensure policies and service standards are consistently followed.
• Address guest questions professionally and escalate when needed.
• Support reporting, administrative tasks, and operational projects.
