Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, FL is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach to support the Head Coach with recruitment, training, game-day operations, and curriculum development. The role offers mentoring opportunities for student-athletes and a path to shape a competitive program.

The ideal candidate has coaching experience, strong organizational skills, and a drive to develop talent while working within NJCAA rules and college policies. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of collegiate or club coaching experience.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• First aid, CPR and AED certification.
• Meet the credentialing requirements for SACS for instructors/coaches.
• Knowledge of NJCAA governing rules for softball.
• Knowledge of softball recruitment, conditioning, and curriculum.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Recruit prospective softball players for the College.
• Train and condition team members.
• Assist with game-day functions and operations.
• Assist with teaching and modifying the curriculum.
