Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach to support the Head Coach at the Prescott, Arizona Campus. The role includes coaching, teaching and recruiting, along with practice and game-related functions as assigned.

Duties include instructing players in fundamentals, assisting recruiting, coordinating scouting reports, managing equipment, travel logistics, and supporting academic progress while upholding NCAA Life in the Balance ideals.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching softball at the collegiate level is preferred.
• Ability to recruit student-athletes for a competitive softball program.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop players in fundamentals, techniques and game strategies.
• Assist in recruiting and retaining talented student-athletes for the softball program.
• Coordinate and prepare scouting reports; support game-day management and operations.
• Oversee equipment management and practice planning; monitor team travel logistics.
• Support academic progress and mentors for student-athletes in alignment with NCAA requirements.
