  • Lead fundraising activities and coordinate lodging and meals for team trips.

The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an AssistantSoftball Coach to support the Head Coach at the Prescott, ArizonaCampus. The Assistant Softball Coach is responsible for a varietyof coaching, teaching and recruiting issues, along with practiceand game-related functions as assigned by the Head Coach.

For Primary Job Functions, Duties, or Accountabilities:
  • Provide instruction to softball student-athletes on thefundamentals and strategies of softball.
  • Assist in recruiting and retaining highly skilledstudent-athletes for the softball team.
  • Actively support and promote the NCAA’s Life in the Balancestrategic positioning platform, embracing the six ideals oflearning, balance, resourcefulness, sportsmanship, passion andservice.
  • Assist with daily field maintenance, preparation of scoutingreports, and game management duties.
  • Assist in creating and monitoring great expectations and theacademic progress of all softball team members.
  • Lead the operation of workshops, summer camps, clinics, etc. topromote the softball program.
  • Maintain and manage team equipment.
  • Assist in securing donations and sponsorships to support thesoftball program.
  • Assist with arranging for lodging and meals for teamtrips.
  • Assume duties of the head coach in his/her absence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
