Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach to support the Head Coach at the Prescott, Arizona Campus. The Assistant Softball Coach is responsible for coaching, teaching and recruiting issues, along with practice and game-related functions as assigned by the Head Coach.

Responsibilities include instructing student-athletes, aiding in recruiting, supporting Life in the Balance ideals, managing field prep, scouting, and game operations, plus organizing camps and

Qualifications

• High School (or GED) level grammar, spelling, basic composition, and math.
• Basic knowledge of the game of softball.
• First Aid / CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Instruct student-athletes on softball fundamentals and strategies.
• Assist in recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes.
• Support Life in the Balance ideals (learning, balance, resourcefulness, sportsmanship, passion, service).
• Assist with field preparation, scouting reports, and game management.
• Help monitor athletic academic progress and progress of team members.
• Lead workshops, summer camps, clinics to promote the softball program.
• Maintain and manage team equipment.
