Qualifications
- Knowledge of sport philosophy and coaching methods.
- Must complete MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles and Sports First Aid.
- Strong commitment to student-athlete growth and eligibility rules.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate sport with a full team in line with MSHSAA standards.
- Assist in implementing athletic standards from the MSHSAA Handbook and attend required sessions.
- Assist in the coordination of the program.
- Assist in the supervision of students at practices and contests.
- Help provide transportation, facilities, officials and game management information.
- Organize and schedule practice sessions to develop athletes' potential.
- Emphasize safety precautions and injury management procedures.
- Demonstrate sportsmanship and professional conduct during practices and contests.
- Assist in returning school equipment per KCMSD handbook.
- Pursue professional growth through clinics/publications.
- Complete MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses.
- Fulfill 8 contact hours of professional development.
