Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Kansas City is seeking an Assistant Site Supervisor for the Y Club program serving kindergarten through sixth grade. You will assist in managing a licensed school-age site, coordinating activities, and ensuring compliance with state licensing and YMCA standards.

This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with the Site Supervisor, and maintaining accurate records while delivering a safe, engaging environment for children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or Psychology or equivalent
• Missouri director qualifications preferred for licensing
• Understanding of quality school-age development and programming
• Public relations and leadership with parents, staff, and licensing bodies

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations at a licensed school-age site
• Collaborate with Site Supervisor to develop activity plans aligned with standards
• Manage accounts receivable and family accounts
• Maintain scheduled hours and be dependable
• Assist with supervision and scheduling of site staff and proper ratios
• Communicate equipment and supply needs
• Ensure a safe, engaging environment meeting YMCA and state guidelines
• Maintain attendance, financial, and sign-in/out records; follow up on absences
• Handle site paperwork and reporting
• Communicate important issues to supervisor and staff
• Step into Site Supervisor role when needed
