Job summary

YMCA of San Diego County is seeking an Assistant Site Supervisor for Expanded Learning Programs to assist with program management, supervision, and development of academic enrichment activities. You will help ensure safe sign-in/out procedures and coach Youth Leader staff.

In this role you will lead in the absence of the Site Supervisor, recruit students, coordinate with schools, and maintain documentation while promoting a positive, engaging environment for youth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with high school diploma/GED.
• One year experience in child or youth development, education, or comparable setting.
• Ability to respond to critical incidents with visual and auditory awareness.
• Physical ability to lead activities (sports, games, academics, assemblies, transitions).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, managing, and implementing program activities per grant, school district, and YMCA policies.
• Supervise participants and ensure guidance and safety at all times.
• Provide positive behavior guidance supporting development and social-emotional needs.
• Serve as lead staff when Site Supervisor is unavailable.
• Actively recruit students and market activities to maintain program capacity.
• Collaborate with school and district staff to align high-quality academic activities.
