Suffolk Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to plan and execute the construction program on a on-site project. You will manage document control, layout verification, QA/QC, safety, and subcontractor coordination while guiding field engineers and collaborating with clients.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, 2+ years in construction, and strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in related construction fields.
• Advanced Manufacturing exposure highly preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills and a sense of urgency.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and distribute construction documents to the project team, including Plans, Specifications, RFI’s, Bulletins, and Field Reports.
• Manage layout and verify field dimensions for accuracy.
• Verify subcontractor layout for line and grade compliance.
• Administer Suffolk’s Quality Management Program and document deficiencies.
• Continuously monitor on-site progress for contract compliance.
• Document daily construction activity with reports, photos, and sketches.
• Create and distribute daily/weekly plans and logistics for the team.
• Attend meetings with customers and clients to provide status updates.
• Compile permits, testing, and inspections for project completion and acceptance.
• Assist in administering the Suffolk Safety Program and enforce safety requirements.
• Supervise and mentor Field Engineers in daily work.
• Communicate clear safety expectations to all project teams.
