Job summary

DC Builders in the Portland Metro Area is seeking an Assistant Site Superintendent to work closely with the Site Superintendent on custom homes and high-end residential projects. The role focuses on coordinating daily field activities, subcontractor scheduling, deliveries, inspections, and site safety from preparation through turnover.

You will assist in organizing field priorities, reviewing drawings and specifications, and maintaining quality control.

Qualifications

Two or more years of hands-on residential construction experience preferred.
Ability to read construction drawings and follow specifications.
Strong communication and organization skills.
Willingness to learn and assume field leadership responsibilities.
Familiarity with construction safety practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily construction activities with Site Superintendent and subcontractors.
Maintain daily/weekly work plans and verify trade readiness.
Inspect drawings, specs, and selections for installation requirements.
Walk the site to monitor progress and identify deficiencies.
Assist with field measurements and layout checks.
Receive materials, verify quantities, and coordinate staging.
Support inspections and prepare work areas for inspectors.
Track punch lists and corrections through completion.
Support safety practices and keep site organized and clean.
Communicate issues and delays to the Site Superintendent promptly.
